Weeping may last for the night...

"Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning!" (Psalm 30:5b, NASB)

Thursday night I attended a Maundy Thursday service - which I have done multiple times in my life - but for some reason this year it really stood out to me. Really, the entire season of Lent and Holy Week has come to life for me in a new and fresh way. Perhaps it is because, in this season of my own life, I am acutely aware of my shortcomings, my failures, my sin, and my undeniable need for a Savior.

Holy Week: To love like Jesus

So this week is what Christians traditionally call Holy Week - when we remember the day Jesus entered Jerusalem like a King, the night He had the Last Supper with His disciples, the prayers He offered in the Garden of Gethsemane, the betrayal of Jesus by one of His own disciples, Jesus' arrest and torture, the day He was killed like a criminal on that cross, His burial in the tomb, and the darkness and hope lost on the day after His death as He lie dead in that tomb. All this of course leading up to Easter Sunday when we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection!

Fearless Now - Live @ Perimeter!

Digging in...

Hey Everybody!

Sorry I haven't been writing much lately and posting mostly videos. I guess I've been in a "video" mood or something. I thought I'd sit down on this stormy Saturday and see what the Lord brings to mind as I type this time.

Take Me to the Cross - Live @ Perimeter!

Alleluia (More Than Worthy) - Live @ Perimeter!

Hey All! Hope you're doing well. I had the privilege of leading worship at Perimeter Church (Duluth, GA) last weekend with Ryan Van Kirk & band for their 10:45am service in the Gym. We had a great time! Here's a little taste. I look forward to the next time!

P.S. Thanks so much Ryan, Duffy, Anthony, & Drew - you rocked it!

The First Day of Spring

I thought I'd lost this blog in a computer crash back on March 20th, so it never got posted, but I found it today!

St. Patrick

Okay, so I'm not Catholic, but I am embarrassed to admit I really didn't know much about St. Patrick at all, except that Irish part...so I give props to my brother (Scott Keller) who posted this informative info yesterday. I am a new fan of good old Paddy. I just wish folks had better ways to celebrate his life than by drinking beer or wearing green. Hm. Seems to me he might be more honored if we fed the poor or did more to pursue the call of God on each of our own lives!

The Face of Modern Slavery

As someone with the heart of a modern day abolitionist who partners with the great organization Love146.org - this video really puts a face and name to those who live in slavery TODAY, around the world.

Let's join in both prayer and action to see the end of slavery and sex trafficking in our lifetime!

Video: FEARLESS NOW (Live @ Impact Church!)

Just for kicks...thought I'd share a home video of a live version of FEARLESS NOW done at a young African-American UMC church plant in Atlanta called Impact Church - they've already reached like over 1000 in attendance in a very short time! They often have to turn away folks during the first service because they are out of seats. This recording is from the second service, which was still pretty full as well. Their motto is "Doing Church Differently" and they try to have something special each week. This was my second visit to their church in the past year, and I always have a blast! Their band backed me up, and we had a great time.
