Now partnering with Love146!
Hello Friends!
Many artists partner with wonderful organizations like Compassion or World Vision, and I also have had a longing to partner with an organization who is reaching out to the "forgotten ones" of the world. I started asking the Lord about it, and recently heard about an incredible cause that really made my heart burn passionately...when a friend told me about Love146.
When I watched their videos, read their blog, checked them out here on myspace...everything I read and watched made me cry, made my heart burn to be part of what they do! I spoke with their artist rep this week, and am excited to announce I have made a decision to partner with them as a modern day abolitionist!
What is Love146? I felt like this video might best explain the name of the organization and their heart behind their mission - to end child sex slavery & exploitation. Would you take a few minutes to watch it by clicking the link below??

Any of you who have seen the movie Amazing Grace must have been stirred by the abolitionists' cause to see the end of slavery during the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. Today, it is estimated there are 27 MILLION people enslaved around the world. This is more than DOUBLE the number of Africans enslaved during the Trans-Atlanta Slave Trade! We need to do something about it, and Love146 offers us some very practical and easy ways to take action. On their website, they even suggest 146 creative things you can do to make a difference - and they encourage you to think of your own ways to get involved as well!
They approach their mission with a two-fold stance:
*Protect & Defend - PREVENTION: reducing the risk for children in "high traffic" areas and raising awareness of the issue
*Restore & Empower - AFTERCARE: training caregivers, providing safehomes and researching best practises for aftercare.
For more information, to sign up for their mailing list & become a member of their team as a modern-day abolitionist, to purchase Love146 merch you can wear around town, to financially support the building of safehouses, or to make a general donation to their cause, please visit their website at:
Thank you for your time. I'd love for you to leave comments here and share not only how Love146 impacts you, but also if there any other organizations you support and want to tell others about.
I hope and pray that we can see the end of child sex slavery and exploitation in our lifetime!
Love Protects
Love Defends
Love Restores
Love Empowers
Proudly a New Love146 Abolitionist!
