So Microsoft is promoting this new campaign with the tag-line "Because we love your music as much as you do." The song submissions had to be something never published, and so late one night I saw this older song sitting on the shelf and it seemed to be looking for something fun to do...

...and they ended up picking my song (well, along with like 1000 other songs by other artists, too).  :)

The song, called "Flicker," is one I used to sing with a band called "brightnine" a few years back. Some of my long-time friends may recognize the track, as it was on an EP we recorded back then, but it will be new to most of the world.

It's not my usual worship-song genre, but will be something a bit different than many of you have heard from me before. It still has a great message of hope to those who are hurting.  My favorite line from the bridge is: "I know if there's a shadow, then there must be a Light."  In John 8:12, Jesus tells the people, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."  Thank you, Lord!
