Weathered-Love146 Tour & more!

Dear friends,

I hope by now that you have all had a chance to listen through the new Weathered EP at least a time or two. :) I'd love feedback - specifically what song is your favorite?!?!

If you'd like to tell friends about Weathered, it's now available on iTunes! If you are willing to leave a short review on iTunes letting folks know what you think about the EP, that would be awesome as well! http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/weathered-ep/id452793414

I ran out of room on my camera the last day so am sad to have missed getting pics of my Aunt & Uncle and the Wilson family. :( It was great to see you all, though!

Enjoy!

Airports & Internet

So hello from Chicago O'Hare airport, where I'm sitting at one of those "recharge your laptop" stations with the really uncomfortable seats. My poor laptop battery is fried and barely holds a charge anymore, thus the need to plug in to be able to say hello to all of you! So I will endure the metal seat for a few minutes while I have internet access to fill you in on the last few days in an open field where the WiFi was lacking.

Summertime Blues

So I haven't been blogging a whole lot this summer. I'm blaming it on a case of "Summertime Blues." I'm sure you can relate...

You're sitting at your computer, window in site, and the sunshine is just calling your name. It seems like the days go by too fast and all those days you planned to go relax at the pool (or beach if you have one) and enjoy some of that sunshine you now see slipping through your fingers faster than you can catch them. All those evenings you'd hoped to have friends or family over for BBQ's seem filled by to-do's and have-to's instead, and you find yourself so rarely ever getting to the really-want-to's.

FCA/UCA Cheerleading Camp!

So I had the privilege this week of leading worship for over 200 cheerleaders at a UCA Cheer Camp put on by Fellowship of Christian Athletes and held at University of West Georgia. Our times of worship together each evening were a blast! It was also awesome to watch as many gave their lives to the Lord for the first time or re-dedicated their lives. PRAISE GOD!

We took time this week to delve into Psalm 56 - and living FEARLESS NOW - as well as being TRANSFORMED FROM THE INSIDE OUT. Here's a video with some of the highlights of the week.

I hope some of you cheerleaders out there who attended will share testimonies here (by leaving a comment) about what this experience at camp was like for you. I'd love to hear what God did in your lives!

Love & Prayers!

P.S. For those that were asking, if you didn't get to buy a CD at camp this week but still want a copy of FEARLESS NOW, use the links at the right to find it on iTunes or Vineyard Music. You can also find it on Amazon.com or at your local Christian bookstore. Thanks so much!

Are your feet dragging today?

After a crazy week at home full of gardening, baking, a tea party, music prep, and trip to Alabama, today I tried to take a sort of Sabbath until sundown. I could tell first of all that my body was tired, but that I also was spiritually dry, feeling anxious over things needing to be accomplished, but also lacking motivation to tackle anything whatsoever. Ever been there?

Another year's journey...

So as I turn a year older (again!), it does seem to me that each year sprints by in more and more of a blink. This one especially snuck by without me much noticing at times (though there have been many others that seemed to drag on and on!). I have spent a good portion of the year away from home on various trips, etc, so I suppose the endless stream of airports and fast food has added to the "blur" effect of it all. Even so, I find myself reflecting more than usual on this day of March 9, 2009.

Greetings from Cedar Falls

Hey All!

Just a little note to say hey from the road! I'm in Cedar Falls, IA for the weekend (at Heartland Vineyard), leading worship and teaching at a worship retreat they hosted for other churches in the area. It was a great way for folks to connect relationally and just take some time to worship, hear some teaching, get some ministry, and glean from some practical workshops.

08/08/08

What a day - 08/08/08. I hear that tons of people are getting married today and doing all kinds of special and crazy things to commemorate the special occasion. I'm happy just to enjoy a normal quiet day at home after what feels like it has been a "plane crazy" couple of months!

Don't get me wrong - I always enjoy my time at various churches and events. Whenever I am ministering through worship or speaking, I truly sense God's grace in the midst, and come home feeling joy-filled and blessed for having been a part of it...but let's just say airport lines, airport food, plane delays, bad weather, grumpy flight attendants, cranky kids kicking my seat when all I want to do it sleep, packing multiple suitcases, sleeping in strange beds, lack of sleep, jet lag, and lugging heavy gear around are just some of the parts I endure for the sake of the rest. :)
